Fall Family Photos in Kamloops

Before we know it Summer will be gone and we'll all be into the swing of things with school and kid activities starting up again. Sunny summer is my absolute favourite season but of course I also love Fall for the golden colours and that crisp fresh start feeling that it packs.

I have gathered up some of my favourite images from last year's fall family photos in Kamloops to share and to encourage you to book your fall photos ASAP! Many photographers are booking up already — contact your photographer if you are hoping to have family photos done this year!

Private Property in Kamloops BC | Shelton Family

I met the Shelton Family at their beautiful acreage home outside of Kamloops on a golden and sunny October evening. The light was seriously spectacular and the kids were seriously cute!! My favourite time of day for fall photos is an hour before sunset when the light is GOLD, baby!

A family of four stands in a golden field with a bright blue sky behind them. They are looking at each other and smiling.

Cooney Bay in Kamloops BC | Boudreau Family

My sister has been my biggest fan from day one and I have been photographing her family well before I officially began my photography business. It is SO cool to be able to capture these memories for clients year after year, for them to be able to witness through photos the subtle and not subtle changes and the growth that happens.

East Shuswap Rd in Kamloops, BC | Dunbar Family

Another family that I adore and have been so honoured to capture right from maternity through to family photos is the Dunbar Family. I met Jillese in Dawson Creek, BC through a midwifery and doula collective that we were both in. Their family recently moved down South and I was thrilled when they travelled to Kamloops for another session with me, how cute are these boys!?

Kenna Cartwright Park in Kamloops BC | Walz Family

When I arrived at the Walz family's residence, we walked the trail behind their home to a beautiful park. I will often suggest a client chooses a location that is special to their family. Is there a hiking trail behind your house that your family frequently goes to or a park near your home that you love to visit? I have never arrived at a location that I didn't love or couldn't make look gorgeous.

Peterson Park in Kamloops BC | Brazier Family

This sweet family met me at Peterson Park for family photos last year before they moved off to England! We had a great, albeit short time (there was a bit of a dog poop incident), exploring the area and playing. Side note: I couldn't believe it when Kayla said that she made the beautiful, cozy knit sweater she is wearing!

I keep saying it; my goodness is it ever a pleasure photographing families throughout their years. If you are wanting to reach out to book family photos for this fall or any time please contact me here.
